The Pulse 3D Environment
Pulse 3D takes direct exported files from 3d Studio Max, for geometry, textures, mapping, and animations. The given language, PulseScript, has a very steep learning curve, but the given pieces of working code and the Java/Javascript functionality ease the process of creating a working product.

Synthetic Interview Issues
Due to multiple reported and unreported bugs in the Microsoft IIS5.0 server, we were unable to correctly implement any Synthetic Interview functionality. The main bug was a security error that would not allow IIS to run ASP objects implemented with MS Visual Basic 6.

After successfully patching this bug, other MS internal errors occurred and were compounded by bugs in the SI core pk00.dll file. These SI errors kept us from achieving one technical goal of porting SI to C++, as memory errors made run-time linking to this .dll impossible.

We brought in Tom Pope (creator of SI) to help us resolve these bugs. He was extremely helpful in helping us to patch the IIS bug, but was unable to help us resolve the SI errors in the SI core.

Upon further reflection, we decided that the addition of SI capabilities to our new Virtual Tour project would do little to enhance the user experience (which is mainly reliant on clicking on objects in the virtual world), and we decided to cut our losses and finish building the content that was possible to complete.
