This week, we are focusing more on improving the nurse avatar to decrease the uncanny valley effect.

We are mostly focusing on eye contact with the patient, random eye blink,  facial expression, lip synchronization, sin rendering, and idle animation. This process is challenging for us, but every movement brings a big difference to the VR experience.

For the story scripts, we did several iterations to make the conversation content more natural and realistic as real conversations. We tried to eliminate very long sentences to avoid losing concentration in the experience.

For the experience, we are trying to brainstorm some scenes to create a more strong impression on the feeling of being a patient, and also help the nurse to have more clear takeaways after this experience. The clock striking is a good piece according to the feedback for the halves, so we are trying to integrate more moments like this.

For the art, we add more details on the patient like the wrist band and blanket. Also the IV device with the pump. And we would add IK to the patient hand in our next step.

Generally speaking, in this phase, we are modifying some details in this experience to make the experience complete and smooth. After we finish the draft version of the prototype including scenes 1, 2, 3, we would add more emotional moments to it.
