Week8 Halves

Getting prepared for the halves presentation, we were not focusing too much on the product itself. When it comes to the half presentation, please take a look at our halves presentation.

First, Olivia went through the overview in which she included our group information, clients and instructors. Briefly talking about the settings, she clarified the task we are given in this semester. Giving an introduction to Dyslexia, she helped audience know more about patients with Dyslexia and education for people who have Dyslexia. “Elkonin Box”, which is the most important function in the request of clients, she made it clear in the presentation.  She also described the whole design method which is also the approach for the whole project to progress.

To help audience get a better understanding of the education in the Wheeling Country Day School, we delivered the recording video, and Jett was giving the insight and inspiration. Dividing into 3 parts, Jett shared the interference which may exist in the physical Elkonin box, scalability which can be improved in the physical Elkonin box which may help one teacher hold more students, and the digitization may help to give the immediate feedback. Following came the design pillars, deliverable and the experience flow. Jingya delivered the whole digital Elkonin box operating process, and gave the advantages of Elkonin box to audience. Then, Patrick introduced the game on the Promethean Board, technology opportunities and the application management. Rebecca gave the recap and feedback from both clients and faculties. She went through the future plan.

We did a good job in the halves presentation, and we are also better aware of how the next half semester would be. We need to have a great spring break and back to work from week 9.
