Week6 development log​

For this week, we focused on developing the demo for our 1st gameplay and also the demo for 1/2.

  1. We built one single player mode demo to test the reflection and light. And we showed the demo during the client meeting and the client was happy about the basic gameplay.
  2. We built two demos to test the occlusion. We found out the occlusion in the new Unity3D AR foundation still have some issue and it will be the part needed further addressing.
  3. We begun to implement the environment for the demo. We aimed to have a 2 player demo we could test for the next week.
  4. We started to get ready for the 1/2.

Concept of Disco environment




Our artists created some simple 3D assets to test how they would look in the background behind the players. As our programmers are testing the possibility of occlusion we are unsure if creating an immersive environment to our concept design is possible so we are testing small and expanding from there.

Our resident UI/UX designer created the necessary UI systems in order to begin the game loop. They created buttons for AR setup, timer system, scoreboard and font. As we decided that we’re opting for a party game look we chose bright colors to match the aesthetic.
