HuiWang

Hui (Sophie) Wang
Hui has a major in electrical & computer engineering, due to a fondness of math and physics. She enjoys the process of utilizing high technology and inventing better solutions to problems. During the study and research in image processing, curiosity led her to explore computer graphics. Excited to find its applications in the entertainment industry, such as games, animations and films, she was also fascinated by the expressive and instructive power inherent in the media. As she always believes that science and technology should be human-centric and bring about happiness to our life, she is thrilled to have the chance of combining science with art.

David Francus
David is a rare combination of artist, inventor, and (mad)scientist. During his undergraduate career, he studied technology-driven art as well as biology. With this unique outlook and skill-set, he makes holograms, shapes molten glass, works with lasers, writes music, designs circuit boards for robots, draws, is an entomologist, performer, and writes the odd bit of code here and there.

Ana Cecilia Balliache Liendo

Ana Cecilia Balliache Liendo
Born and raised in Venezuela, I obtained my degree in Computer Engineering in 2009 with specialization in Computer Graphics, Computer Networks, and Software Development. While becoming an Engineer, I earned a second degree as a Professional Firefighter. Both careers have taught me the value of collaboration, team work, and leadership. Also, I have been immersed all of my life in formal music studies being Cuatro de Concierto my instrument.

I decided to came to the ETC to fusion my passion for Art and Software Development. And I am loving every minute of it!

Li-Heng Liang

Li-Heng Liang
Born and raised in Taiwan, the island of advanced technology in electronic device manufacturing, Li-heng finished his college education as a bachelor of electrical engineering. He was trained and has become a versatile programmer who knows both how to code on the hardware level as well as how to write efficient computer programs with the correct choice of data structures and algorithms. Growing up making friends with math and science, however, Li- heng has always been regarding himself as an artist. It is like a nature for him to notice and appreciate the beautiful things around, and he was also gifted in bare-hand drawing, along with an exceptional sense of space and light. Although never formally trained, he seized the opportunity to refine his artistic skills by participating in various kinds of design jobs that supported the school's events. Li-heng was in charge of the Art & Propaganda group in the students' association for one year. During the summer that followed, he granted the chance to work as an programming intern in Microsoft's China Technology Center. This 2- month internship gave him the picture of what it takes to work as a software engineer, and how resource and workflow are organized in a company as large as Microsoft. After applying both sides of his skill sets into the real world, Li-heng realized that no matter being a technologist or an artist, it is to make the things that make people happy that he really feels passionate for. Seeking a precise education in Carnegie Mellon University, on the road ahead Li-heng is determined to create great things that a entertaining nature lies within.

Kan Dong

Kan Dong
Kan Dong graduated from Communication University of China, majoring in TV Editing and Directing. In those 4 years, she immersed herself in the visually communication world, while concentrated in story telling and television program directing.

Her rich work experience contributes and inspires greatly to her research in entertainment media. She realized modern techniques in sound, image, text, and video create an infinite interactive maze, where art and science intertwine and interact with each other.

Now that she comes to ETC, with the dream to refresh everyone's media experiences, she will do her best to continue her passion for interactive entertainment!
