Derek Chan

Producer

Derek (Roderick Luke) Chan is a Game Designer and Producer of entertainment games. He looks to the ETC to refine his current design and management skill sets in projects at the ETC with both faculty and external clients. Drawing from his formal background in Research Psychology and Musical Theater, Derek infuses his work with an analytical eye and unique showmanship.

Angela Chen

Front-end Developer

Jiewen (Angela) Chen is an interaction designer and front end developer at ETC with projects including Web Design and Development, Motion Graphics and VR Experience Design. With her knowledge and passions, she hopes to combine art, design and technology to create compelling experiences for human being and help build a better world 😉

Kathryn-Mae Eiland

Assistant Producer & UX Designer

Kathryn adores all things design and food. Creating transformational experiences is an important element of her dream career. At the ETC she is refining methods of game design and production.

Grace Kang

Visual Designer

Grace (Eunhye) Kang) has studied fine art with an emphasis on photography, film, and kinetic sculpture. She is looking to create dynamic and amusing interactions using AR/VR.

Ningshan Ouyang

Back-end Developer

Ningshan is a gameplay programmer and game designer, excited to create games that push the boundaries of both interactive playability and storytelling technique.

Brenda Harger

Faculty Advisor

Brenda Bakker Harger is a theatre director (MFA Carnegie Mellon University), improviser, and professor of Entertainment technology at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center where she teaches improvisational acting and leads diverse interdisciplinary projects.

Chris Klug

ETC Faculty Advisor

Trained as a theatrical lighting designer, Chris Klug began his career in the arts working on Broadway, in regional theater, and toured with various 70’s rock n’ roll bands. Then, at the invitation of a fellow photographer, Chris transitioned into a career as a Game Designer. In addition to teaching story, game design and creating writing at CMU, Chris consults with game publishers around the world.

As the project coordinator, Ana is our go-between to help us prepare for partner demos, scheduling playtesters, updating the museum partners on our progress, and giving us day to day feedback and decisions on the design.
