Script
Based
on feedback from the previous open house and comments by our fellow ETC
students and faculty, the script has gone through multiple iterations.
The new script is now a comprehensive, scene-by-scene description of the
show, which not only includes the story, but also the visual elements,
sounds, and effects happening at each scene.

Tyrannosaurus-rex
The T-rex makes her
appearance as we first bring her back to life with our new "Ultra
Beam." But soon tradgity strikes and so begins the story of T-rex.
In the real world there is much talk dinosaur field, suggesting that there
is greater potential for T-Rex to have been more protective of its young
than once thought. This brings a great drive to the characters in our
story.
Utahraptor
This
raptor was the largest of a group of lightly-built carnivores, called
the dromaeosaurs or "swift lizards". It had large eyes, long
grasping hands and powerfully clawed feet. Clearly it was carnivorous,
but was distinctive in relying on a wickedly hooked, slashing claw on
each foot rather than the jaws and teeth of a typical predator. The time
period of this dinosaur is also more appropriate for the type of Tyrannosaur
that we are using. Seen below are pages of animation notes that were made
in order to get a good understanding of the raptors' movements and character
feel.
Environmental
designs
With
plants and a landscaped island (Yinglind) we aim to make a believable
environment for the user to experience and in both realtime and prerendered
situations.
Script
and Story Boards
The
script includes everything that will occur between the entrance and
exit of the audience. This script includes details such as objects on
the screen, camera movements, dialogue, ambient sounds, triggered sounds,
interactivities, scene transitions, scene durations, and anything else
relevant to our show. Click
