Srujani Kamineni   |   Producer

Srujani is project NEWSCAN’s technical artist and UX designer. Her interests lie in making easy-to-use products that also have breakthrough impacts on users, and she hopes to be able to contribute in giving project NEWSCAN a finish of usability and ease of access.

Games for Change aims to bring about transformational changes in players, and Srujani hopes to bring about that change via fluid visual design.

 

Zach Ai   |   Artist, Programmer

Zach is a second-year student at Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center. He is an artist and a programmer, and has helped prototype a number of games during his time at the ETC.

 

 

 

 

 

Yvette (Yanran) Han   |   Artist, UX Designer

Yvette is a first-year student now studying at Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center. She is an artist, programmer and experienced UI designer, and she is interested in the fields of real-time VFX and tech art.

Yvette’s core skills include 3D/2D art, programming and UI/UX design. Upon graduation from the ETC, she hopes to become either a technical artist or a VFX artist.

 

Michael Luan   |   Programmer, Game Designer

Haoqing (Michael) Luan is a programmer and game designer. Over the course of this semester, he will focus on solving both technical problems and game design challenges the team encounters, and depending on the team’s needs, his responsibilities will shift between writing code and writing game development document (GDDs). In the future, Michael would like to both learn more about back-end technology and widen the breadth of his game design experience.

 

Shan Jiang   |   Programmer    

Shan Jiang is a first-year graduate student at Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center. He is a programmer and an artist, and is interested in the fields of computer graphics and technical art.

Shan earned his bachelor’s degree at Zhejiang University, where he majored in Digital Media Technology. From then on, game development and art design have become his greatest interests. During his time at the ETC, Shan has designed and developed games for a variety of different platforms, such as PC, Oculus, HTC VIVE, and Hololens. By working with teams comprised of individuals from various countries and backgrounds, Shan has enhanced his ability to communicate and cooperate with teammates, as well as his skills in Maya, Unity, C#, and Python.

 

Naomi Burgess   |   Writer, Narrative Designer

Naomi is a writer and narrative designer, with additional experience in the realms of sound design, composition, programming, and production. She has done extensive work in the realms of VR and AR (especially with regard to storytelling), and has a passion for creating pieces of interactive media that help people more readily understand each other.

Over the course of this semester, Naomi hopes to gain even more experience in the realms of writing and narrative design, which she hopes to utilize in generating believable news-related content that fits within the structure of NEWSCAN’s game world.
