Overview of the week

This week’s keyword – Hardworking!

This week all of us pushed very hard to our project. We iterated several versions of our visual design. We had heated debate about how to present z-axis to users, and tried a lot of different versions.

Also, we tweaked our platform flow based on feedback from some testers. At first, we thought that after uploading the model, we should ask user to fix the camera angle. However, it turns out that nobody could understand why they should do that because they didn’t understand our mapping algorithm yet. As a result, we put the model rotating feature on the playing page. When users get some senses about the mapping method, we provide them rotating tool to let them play around with the object.

What’s more, this week we pushed very hard on the visual part as well. We re-designed our web platform based on the new flow. Also, we finished several parts of the new design.

 

This week’s demo

We don’t have the week demo this week. We are on full speed on the journey to soft opening version.

 

Challenges

We almost finished all the features and entered the polish phase. However, we don’t have enough time to polish all the features to be very user-friendly. As a result, prioritization is very crucial to us. We need to focus on those points that can have huge impact on user experience.

To achieve a very good user experience, we need to iterate a lot. How to make most of every feedback/playtesting is very important to us now.
