Make a Gift
Gifts to the ETC don’t just fund equipment or spaces, they change lives. Donor-funded scholarships and awards help students:
- Afford tuition and living costs
- Attend conferences and industry events
- Travel for co-ops or research opportunities
- Launch bold, original projects
ETC Creative Good Fund
Supports partnerships with nonprofit organizations to create meaningful, mission-driven experiences. Established by Afzaal Akhtar (E ‘84 ‘86) and Sarah Bhutta (MCS ‘88) in memory of Afzaal’s mother, Shaheen Akhtar, the fund enables the ETC to collaborate on projects that apply entertainment and education technology to ensure that creative innovation continues to serve the greater good.
ETC Fellowship Fund
Provides support to ETC graduate students, with a focus on broadening access for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds at Carnegie Mellon, such as those of under-privileged socioeconomic status, from underrepresented geographic areas, who grew up in single-parent households or who were first in their families to attend college.
ETC General Fund
Provides flexible, unrestricted support that empowers the ETC to respond to its most urgent needs and opportunities. From enhancing student experiences to funding travel and conference participation, this fund helps ETC students showcase their work, build industry connections and bring their ideas to the world stage.
