Brad Buchanan

Producer – Production, design and QA for Engineering (architecture, code reviews).

Brad has been writing code almost since he could use a keyboard. And one of the first programs he tried to write was a game.Growing up, Brad continued to expand his skillset, taking a particular interest in web development and advanced scripting. In high school he spent considerable time developing his musical side as a baritone and trumpeter, and was part of a series of musical theater productions. At university, Brad turned back to Computer Science and eventually entered the industry as a web application developer.

But childhood dreams run deep, and that game design instinct was inescapable. When Brad heard about the ETC, he saw a way to finally use his passions (code, music and games) together.

Brad is passionate about creating positive, artful experiences and about the educational value of interactivity. His time at the ETC is allowing him to explore his abilities as a producer and an engineer. He is looking forward to a career in videogames.

 

Brian Lee

Lead Artist and Game Designer – Character art, 2D animation, Effects, Game Designer responsible for systems and diagrams.

Although Brian Lee majored in Business Administration, he still has a strong passion in sharing his world with other people. Due to this purpose, while he was studying in college, he devoted most of his time exploring in different fields associated with storytelling such as film, comic, and game design. After graduating from college, Brian became a game designer and worked for the game industry in Taiwan, responsible for the whole plan of combat visual design and development of In-Game Movie Editor. During this time, he started realize where his talent and where he should go for in the future. So, he started his master degree in CMU Entertainment Technology Center, and decided to become a concept artist with the knowledge of game design.

 

Romain Deciron

Software Engineer – Mobile Technologies and Unity

Romain has always been interested in games, always wondering how they were created and how come some of them had such a strong emotional value. He solved his first issue by becoming a programmer, and has started to solve the second one by learning about interactive storytelling. His goal is to create or help create games that will move players emotionally, and make them dream.

 

Haewon Nam

Concept Artist Concept Art, UI Art, Environment Art, Texture Art

Haewon was born in Seoul, South Korea and has a love for drawing, animations, and computers. She specialized in traditional art mediums, composition, and conceptual thinking in her BFA in Korean Painting at Ewha Womans University in Seoul. After graduation, she got experience texturing, mapping, and modeling through working on 3D stereoscopic animations during her Master’s degree in Korea. Now she studies at CMU ETC and aspires to make something fun to play and share with others.

 

Jaewan Park

Associate Producer and Technical Artist – Production assistance, 3D Art, Animation, Technical Art, Level Designer

Jaewan was born in South Korea. He studied Character Animation at CalArts and is now a candidate for a Master’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University at Entertainment Technology Center. Since he has studied various disciplines, such as engineering, animation and live action film, he would like to combine his technical and artistic skills in his career. Jaewan also loves to and share happy experiences with people.

 

Eren Song

Graphic/UI Designer – UI Art, Graphic Design, Team Identity, Presentations.

Eren is expecting to get a degree in MET (Master of Entertainment Technology) from Carnegie Mellon University in 2013. Her background is in graphic design, specializing in 2D art, motion graphic and web design specifically as it relates to the digital world.

 

Neerav Mehta

Software Engineer – Smart TV Technologies and Marmalade

Since his days in high school computers excited Neerav, especially because of computer games. To explore more about computers he did his undergraduate studies in Information Technology. During this period his attraction towards computer games turned into passion for them. He then worked in the software industry to gain some professional experience. He joined the Entertainment Technology Center to realize his passion for games. Neerav looks forward to a career in designing and developing exciting games.An avid soccer fan, he loves to play soccer on the field and PC. He enjoys playing FPSs and action adventure video games.
