For this project, we are excited to be working with the Fred Rogers Center!  Below are our three main contacts, with whom we will be working closely throughout the development of MadDash:

Julie Polvinen is currently a field coordinator for Video Intervention/Prevention Assessment (VIA), a research program of The Center on Media and Child Health at Children’s Hospital Boston. She graduated from Bridgewater State College with a bachelor of arts in graphic design and photography. At Children’s Hospital Boston, she works with children with illnesses, teaching them to express themselves through video production.

Mary Gillis graduated from Lafayette College with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and business. She is currently a graduate student at Teacher’s College Columbia University, where she will complete a double masters of science degree in nutrition and applied physiology in 2010, and continue her studies there for a doctorate in applied physiology. She is the founder and president of Anything But The Gym, a New York City based program that focuses on getting exercise in interesting, social ways.

Rita Catlano serves as Co-Director of the Fred Rogers Center. She attended Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut, where she received a B.A. in political science, as well as an M.A. in political science from the University of Pittsburgh. She has also worked at Temple University at the Center for Research in Human Development and Education, the Learning Research and Development Center at the University of Pittsburgh, and Tufts University.
