During this semester, our team Beyond Interactions is building a game to be played by 100+ players live at the Games for Change festival. Our client, Games for Change based in New York, came to us with the requirement to play the game in the theater space live engaging the audience into a fun gameplay. They asked us to pitch 3 different concept ideas that would potentially work in such a setting. The game concept that we finalized upon is called “Boundaries“.

The project comes with its own challenges of organizing play tests with large number of players to gauge a sense of how the players react. Our development philosophy has been highly focused around play tests and iterations of almost all core elements including the games UI design and art. We strongly believe that this is a really novel and different game mechanic that hasn’t been explored in such a setting before and would be really interesting to see how such a mass audience responds to it.
