Thoughts from Festival

  • Visual difference in bullet size and colour of circle/range to imply boost in strength when you build taller
    • Also make it liquid instead of bullets
  • Visual difference between zombie and student
  • Make trees and non important items without sticker outline and shadow
  • Add Hunt Library text
  • Need some text and symbol posters that add Legend to what’s happening as I had to explain a LOT
  • Add SFX for transform and for each Hunt point
  • Add highlight to the score (maybe when transformed, UI shoots towards the scoreboard up top right to highlight change in number)
  • Change order of the scoreboard for clarity
  • New Tutorial BGM as we were getting sick of the old song
  • There’s something in our game that makes people have fun and laugh! We felt very validated from our Festival experience as a lot of people saw our project as unique in what it was trying to do.

We also completed our final handoff and delivery of the table by tearing down and reinstalling in Sorrell Library with Dom Jebbia (our client). We playtested, debugged, and had a rollercoaster of a semester but we felt satisfaction in knowing that we finished and actually accomplished (more or less) what we set out to accomplish: creating an interactive LEGO table that can recognize characteristics of your LEGO creation, which augment the original LEGO fun, inspired by SimCity, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and Tower Defense games.
