Week 6 Newsletter

Week 6 (2/17 ~ 2/21)

Week 6 was experimental and questionable

As a team we had to go through some hurdles but in the end the artists and design were able to create some visual directions that all of the team was able to look at. During the weekend our designer John conducted some paper surveys at the Science Museum and found some valuable data that will definitely effect our direction of the design of the car and tracks.

On Wednesday we showed our directions to our advisors and received some feedback that has affected our thoughts, and also although the client meeting was more of an update meeting, soon after that, our artists and design sat together and came down to a concrete design.

With strong dedication of our team members we were able to come up with objects that we could use as reference for our design.

CHALLENGES:

Things are still blocked regarding some controls and the tech side but hopefully we will get a green light or hands on the control from our client.

Unfortunately because we are still inexperienced with scrum, we are still getting used to estimating our hours and overshot. For this sprint we did not achieve our specific goals and will bleed over to the next sprint.

NEXT WEEK:

With the data john has received, we will have our first strong prototype with assets that we are very excited for. We are planning on continuing the playtest also getting feedback from people in our school as well. We are also wanting more team bonding, play testing session.

On Tuesday we will meet with Tom who is from EA and hopefully we will gain a stronger determination and drive!

We will challenge ourselves to complete the sprint goal by the end of this week sprint! Go FENIX
