Week 13 (4/14 ~ 4/18)

Week 13 was fast
This week, being right before our Soft presentation we quickly met together on Monday in order to adjust our footing and make sure we were heading towards the right direction.

Our artist and sound developer pushed forward in pumping up assets that changed our game into a completely different level. Although we were still at 40% visually at the beginning of this week, we are proud to say that we have come far hitting around the 70% mark right before the 80% target goal.

On the Tech side, we found multiple issues with the new technology we received from the client. Although we are keeping the communication flowing with them, it seems to be a challenge for us to integrate it in our system. In order to mitigate this, we decided to develop our own controls so we do not further hinder testing the feel of our controls and the design of the UI.

CHALLENGES:

We received our platform 2 weeks ago but unfortunately we are still crashing into technical issues that hopefully we can overcome by the end of this week.

It is a great moral boost to see the improvement in visuals but it is also still a challenge to us to make sure we understand what we want within the given time and if we can achieve what we have strived for at the beginning of this semester.

NEXT WEEK:

On Monday we will have our soft opening showing our product to the faculty. After receiving feedback we would like to make sure we have all that we need to tackle the final stretch into the final presentation.

We are also planning on conducting a play test at the end of the week to finalize the control feel and the UI design. We are reaching the final stretch and we are all excited!
