Week 12 (4/7 ~ 4/11)

Week 12 was slow

This week is right between Halves and Softs. We have finished locking all of the features and entered our polish phase preparing for softs.

After the play test conducted at the end of week 11, we analyzed the feedback to realize that nothing major rose and it was more confirming of our vision and direction. One detail we considered adding and it seems to be successful is showing a speed feedback so the players can see how fast they are going.

CMX has started unpacking and installing the platform we received from our client to better understand what we will be dealing with. We are planning to have the platform integrated and testable/playable by Softs.

We have and continue to polish the art; new textures, and refined models. Tim has been helping out by giving us more sounds. Although it is not complete, it is pleasing to see daily improvements of our build.

CHALLENGES:

Although we received the platform from our client, because we do not have direct access, any issues that needs help lags behind because we can only contact through email. Hopefully we will not bump into too many issues regarding installation and integration of the platform. With the number of days counting down, we have a planned out schedule of all the art assets and the integration, but we have to be on our toes and make sure we will be able to finish and achieve our goals before softs.

NEXT WEEK/SPRINT:

Next week we will continue to polish and input art assets that will make our build more visually pleasing. We also will need to plan for softs as well and what we will be presenting to the faculty. Hopefully we will have our platform set and the faculty will be able to experience our game first hand.
