This was a really exciting week for Team Hypnos, with several great pieces of news. Let’s check it out!

• This week was quarters! We presented our demos, Marketing Materials, and Pipeline. We received a lot of helpful feedback from the visiting instructors, that we will be putting to use. Thank you to all ETC faculty for your great feedback!
• We did more test shooting in the conservatory. We are testing different methods for stitching, capturing conversation, and camera movement. Our test shoot is in the pipeline now, so we will have more on those results next week.
• We had more story discussions in order to focus our story direction. We want to focus our story on a specific emotion (Lonliness or Anxiety). We have decided to make three shorts around the emotion: one dance piece, one narrative, and one experimental. For the Dance piece we will be working on with Eun Young Ahn, an instructor at the Pittsburgh Ballet Academy.
• We are now working with Sarah Tedrow-Azizi a Marketing student at Tepper School. We will be doing Conjoint Analysis with her. More on this soon.
• Next week we have a meeting with Bricolage, a local Theater group, to discuss story. We plan to work with the troupe to perform in our film and to gain insight on story telling from an acting perspective. We plan to have a demo created with them before Halves.
• And the big news: we have received an invite to visit Oculus’ Story Lab! With several of our Team Members already heading to San Francisco for GDC, we are using the opportunity to visit Oculus and see their research. We are all extremely excited for this opportunity! It’s an honor.
