Week 3 – Ideation

Our client, iThrive, belives fully in incorporating teens in the process of making the games. The games themselves need to appeal to teens and help empower them, so it makes sense that we incorporate them in the ideation process.

We went to a local after-school program and met with teens ranging between 13-17 years old.  We asked them what does kindness means to them, when was the last time they felt empathy towards one another and what do they think when they hear the word “curiosity”. They told us about their personal experiences as they were trying to think what do those concepts mean to them.

It was a little challenging trying to get meaningful information from the teens as a group and possibly this will affect the next time we will go to meet with them for further ideation. It is important that we will be able to incorporate the teen’s experience.

In the mean time, we’ve also been working on game ideas and preparing for the branding critique next week
