Week 7 was a very very interesting week, to say the least, we started out thinking this would be a crunch week, as we needed to prepare a presentation and a playable prototype for a pre-planned visit to the FBI.
The first thing we did was to integrate the artwork and dialogue with the adventure game, just to get a feel how robust the system was, 2 versions of the minigame were being developed in parallel, so that we could do playtests with both versions.
In terms of the artwork we started on a number of character expressions, as well as some scenes.
On the mini games side, we had a very rough playable version, which we planned to polish more before Friday. Then on the day before our trip, we were told there were complications with our clients, and that it would be cancelled. This didn’t really throw a wrench in our plans, but instead gave us much more time to work on the product, we were able to get feedback for our script and update it, and we were also able to schedule 1 playtest session with the nieces and nephews of ourĀ adviser, John Dessler.(more details to come)
