Student handbook for the ETC class that started August 26 2024
Hi! My name is Jingyi Feng.
I am currently a graduate student from the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), Carnegie Mellon University(CMU). I am experienced in a wide range of creative pursuits involving User Experience (UX), Technology and Design.
At CMU, I am exposed to many interdisciplinary projects that create the exciting interactive user experience between technology, people and social world, for learning, play and communication goals. Having worked on these projects cooperating with organizations like HCII, EA, Google, and so on, I appreciate and understand the great power of efficient and creative teamwork and the iterative design cycle in the whole production in the real world. Thanks to CMU and my great teammates, I have been learning programming to facilitate my design work, trying to be as close as possible to the engineering circle and the real product.
Prior to CMU, I earned my B.S. in Industrial Design and M.F.A in Design and Arts from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, my lovely hometown in China. I also interned as an interaction Designer in Alibaba Group, the largest E-business web company in the world. I believe the marriage of art and science can make life easy, fun and beautiful.
