John's entry into the world of computer games dates back to the 1980s when his father brought home a ZX Spectrum. He found this new form of entertainment so captivating that he never let go of it.
During his childhood he learned that he had a passion for art and anything creative. And so, when painting or making sketches he felt as though he had all the time in the world. After completing his bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering he decided to enter the Software Industry and joined Larsen and Toubro Infotech Ltd., a leading software solutions company based in India. At the company, besides providing IT solutions and developing code, he also learned about corporate culture, significance of quality adherence and about teamwork.
The job however did not stop him from discovering what his abilities were as a technically and creatively inclined individual. Besides his work as a software engineer, he would also take part in design competitions and also do sketches and concept art in his free time.
John is amongst the millions of people that Randy Pausch inspired to achieve one's dreams. And so, he decided to give a shot at achieving his dreams and joined the ETC. He is currently doing a co-op at Schell Games as a gameplay programmer.
