Monil pursued his undergraduate degree(Bachelor of Engineering) from K.J.Somaiya college of Engineering, affiliated with Mumbai University. He majored in Computer Science. During this interim, he was elected as Creative Head of the student's body for two consecutive years. He spearheaded projects for designing brochures and other publicity materials. Later, he was elected as the Course Treasurer and Technical Head, where he demonstrated leadership skills and organized innovative events for his college.
On completion of this course, Monil decided to chase his long impending dream of stepping into the entertainment industry. Rather than studying software & computer science, Monil decided to take up a course with the Entertainment Technology Center - as the first stepping stone. Monil's interest lies in programming and scripting. However he has taken up the role of Modeler to gain experience in the diverse nature of the industry. Further on, Monil plans to use the tool of interactivity to create means which will help reduce illiteracy in India.
