Richard Aguirre

I am currently earning a masters degree at the ETC, focusing on game design. After 6 years of experience in the graphic design industry I am pivoting to my passion: games. I've been creating table-top strategy games in my spare time since 2008 and I love to explore new frontiers for the medium.

I am adept at creating 2D designs, textures and illustrations in a variety of styles and I'm quickly learning 3D modeling. I love to challenge myself and learn new skills. I am comfortable in a diverse, collaborative work environment using agile methodologies and the scrum model. In my classes at the ETC we've already created several games working in international teams and learning valuable development strategies. I am currently working on a semester-long academic ETC project sponsored by Verizon to create a mobile game.
