Student handbook for the ETC class that started August 26 2024
I am currently a graduate student at Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), Carnegie Mellon University(CMU), experienced in interactive game design and implementation and iOS game development. I am a creative technologist, programmer, iOS/Cocos2d and Unity game developer.
After graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, I decided to step into mobile game industry. I accessed to and mastered the skills of iOS game development with Cocos2d game engine in the following one and half year of intensive working in ELEX Tech and Happy Elements. I developed and released two iOS games, Fishing Life and Happy Fish: Dream Aquarium, both have fair performance in iTunes App Store.
The experiences of mobile game development made me realize the great potential, both technologically and commercially, of interactive games that built with cutting-edge human computer interaction platforms. Then I decided to go deeper and further into this field to gain my knowledge of interactive game design, development, fast-prototyping along with interdisciplinary cooperation, international background team working in ETC, CMU.
Except for game development, I am also interested in classical music, films, psychology and badminton. ETC as an interdisciplinary project made me exert my abilities, professional skills and personal interests to create something magical.
