Monkey Business

Team Monkey Business is working with the Allegheny County Library Association(ACLA) to develop an additional component for Questyinz, their interactive virtual tool which addresses aliteracy through gaming.

The current game utilizes technology to provide written quests which encourage reading, writing, and virtual or real world exploration to meet the core values of Connected Learning.   The scalability of web technology allows the Questyinz learning tool to impact a wide audience, and the ACLA intends for game to be utilized in libraries nationwide.

The team’s goal is to produce a robust component whose social features will encourage educational exploration, promote peer culture, and excite the users. Our software will be designed and implemented with accessible web technologies in order to sustain Questyinz’s accessibility to a wide target audience.

We will draw on our varied skill sets to create an interactive experience that not only provides the needed educational and social results, but also entertains the users so they are excited about the learning experience and retain interest.
