ETC Student Handbook 2020
The student handbook for the ETC students who entered into the program in August 2020.
We are happy to say the ETC student project film Sirena will be shown in two different film festivals next month. On November 2 the Pittsburgh Shorts Festival will show the student animation at 10:30 am at the Southside Works Cinema in Pittsburgh. The PA Indie Shorts Film Festival will show Sirena the same day, at the Pocono Cinema & Cultural Center in East Stroudsburg, PA at 1:45 pm.
The five person student animation studio produced the short during the spring 2019 semester. The animated short is based on the myth ‘Sirena of Guam’. During the semester the team’s focus was to use believable hair and water simulation to immerse audiences in Serina’s tale. The previous ETC animation team, ‘Studio Duat’, handled Sirena’s pre-production.
The Sirena team Jared Ettinger, Yikai (Kevin) Han, Niharika Jain, Muhammad Mir, Yi Ting (Kristy) Tsai
Project Instructors: Ruth Comley, John Dessler
We hope you are able to catch the short. Take a look at the behind the scenes trailer!
