This week, we focused on building a new prototype. We first settled down on the features so that our programmers can start to realize the functions. For the back end, we fixed some problems about pulling all the data from the website and we started to make snapshots of the web content daily. With this information, we will be able to analyze the life cycle of a mod. We also started to analyze the keywords in the title and text so we can dig more into the data. For the front end, we started to make the graphs we have settled to use and basic UX flow.
In the mean time, we are designing the visualization and refine on the UX flow. We decided to make a prototype first so that the programmers are not blocked by the UX iteration. After discussing with our faculty instructors, we think it is a good idea that we make good use of our talented UI/UX designers and iterate more on this aspect.
Also, since we are getting new data, we are looking to see what new and interested things we can gather from it.
