Week 15

That’s a Wrap!

We’ve done it! Sirena— all 2+ minutes of it— is in the bag. As is our Pre-production content. However, you’ll need to wait until next week to see our unveiling of the final product— we don’t want to upload it until after our Final Presentation. The team is very proud of what we accomplished, and are excited to show it to peers and guests.

Next week we will also be publishing a postmortem of our work, detailing our challenges and what we learned from them. You will be able to find that on the ETC Animation Wiki we have been setting up and contributing to.

Additionally, if you’ve been following our exploits since the beginning of the semester, you may have noticed that we overhauled our website! We wanted to make it more professional and easier to navigate, so we switched to the Mesmerize theme on WordPress. Yikai used some of his HTML skills to “hack” into the theme and make additions that helped us get in all the content we wanted!

This afternoon/evening, the ETC is holding its annual Open House. At this event, distinguished guests in Pittsburgh and potential employers(!) come see the work we’ve put together over the semester. We put a lot of effort in to make the room fitting for our first screening:
