Ari is originally from Roslyn, NY in the suburbs of "LonggggIsland". He has a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and the Arts, with focuses in Music Composition and Film/Media studies, from Carnegie Mellon University, and is in his final year at the Entertainment Technology Center. He has always been a huge movie buff and has recently discovered the magic of console and PC gaming. After taking a course taught by Randy Pausch during his sophomore year, he was sucked into the incredible vacuum known as the ETC.
Ari has been immersed in music from a young age. He began violin at the age of 4, piano at 5, guitar at 11, bass guitar at 12, and then progressed into the electronic instruments (Computers!!) at 17. Although he has been classically trained, he loves nothing more than to get up on stage and play lead guitar in a hard rock band. Only recently has he been able to combine the styles, and truly experiment with music. After working at three computer game companies as a sound designer, effects editor, and composer, Ari found that composition and sound design can be formed into an incredibly fulfilling career.
