Dan has always loved working with technology. From the first time he saw Star Wars he was hooked on Entertainment. During undergrad he pursued a combination of theatre lighting design and video production along with computer science. Working as a designer on theatre productions taught him the importance of collaboration and teamwork. For a senior project he worked on building a new technology for theatre lighting. Upon Graduation Dan became a systems analyst at a hospital. He was quickly promoted to network administrator, then Director of Information Technology and HIPAA Security Officer. His use of technology to solve current issues was recognized by hospital administrators and was immensely helpful as he led the hospital through a $1.5 million software conversion.
While he was at the hospital he missed working in entertainment. Dan found in the ETC the combination of entertainment and technology he was looking for. At the ETC he will develop his skills further by working on what he is passionate about. Ideally Dan will use his skills to obtain a job in the special effects industry and/or as a producer.
