DAVID A. BOSSERT is an artist, filmmaker, and author. He received a B.F.A. in Animation from the CalArts School of Film/Video. Dave most recently served as the producer, creative director & Head of Classic & Special Projects at Walt Disney Animation Studios and is currently an independent producer, creative director, and writer.
Mr. Bossert has contributed his talents to such films as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Spider-Man, Fantasia/2000 and the Academy Award-nominated Disney/Dali short film Destino. See a full list of his credits at IMDb.com.

Bossert is an award-winning producer and director. His documentary The Tunes Behind the Toons has won best short documentary awards at numerous film festivals and has been a special selection at many others. His latest documentary, Disney Cartoon Camera, is currently in the festival circuit. He is also the producer and director of the award winning Pumbaa & Timon Safety Smart: Wild About Safety DVD series for Disney Educational Productions and Under Writers Laboratories.
Dave works in a variety of animation techniques including 2D, 3D, & Live Action combinations; Stereoscopic & specialty projection formats. He has been the creative director & producer of many Theme Park attractions, projection shows and other specialty projects.
Dave also has served as the Artistic Supervisor for the Disney Restoration Team and has overseen restoration on the latest restored features Bambi, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Fantasia, Snow White, Pinocchio, Jungle Book & many others.
Bossert co-authored the Disney Animated iPad App, which was named iPad App of 2013 by Apple and won a prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award. He has written the books, Remembering Roy E. Disney; Memories and Photos of a Storied Life, An Animator's Gallery: Eric Goldberg Draws the Disney Characters, and Dali & Disney: Destino. His latest books, The Art of Tennessee Loveless: The Mickey Mouse TEN x TEN x TEN Contemporary Pop Art Series and Finding Oswald: The Search for the Lost Disney Cartoons are being published by Disney Editions.
