Dailies 2-3-2011

  • Worked on more environmental assets, textures and lighting with programmer

Dailies 2-2-2011

  • Finished Texturing Beaker asset
  • Researched and collected several references for fired bullet texture for comparison microscope

Dailies 2-1-2011

  • Finished texturing the notice board asset including normal and diffuse maps
  • Helped programmer to import the textures and new models into the game

Dailies 1-31-2011

  • Created Normal map for gun
  • Finished texture set 1 of 3 for the gun

For tomorrow, I plan to finish the three texture sets of the gun and continue with further texturing of assets

Dailies 1-28-11

  • Had a team meeting, decided about next weeks deadlines
  • More unwrapping/texturing work followed

Dailies 1-27-11

  • Modified the model structure, to make it more animation friendly
  • Worked on unwrapping the gun model

Dailies 1-26-11

  • Set up the 3D asset list for ease of asset sharing and documentation
  • Went through various references for assets
  • Went through texturing and animation tutorials on Maya
  • Set up Unity on my computer

Dailies 1-25-11

  • Worked on refining the assets previously made
  • Went through Maya texturing tutorials
  • Gathered textures for some of the assets
  • Helped in laying out the project room as the new TV was brought in

More work on assets will follow in the coming days

Dailies 1-24-2011

  • Finished modeling two world assets – Pin up board and flask
  • Detached slider from gun model for animation

For tomorrow, I plan to finish more assets and also start unwrapping the models for texturing

Dailies 1-21-2011

  • Researched on the objects that could be found on a table in an investigation lab, for environmental assets.
  • Animation issue resolved, programmer is handling it.
  • Had a team discussion, briefed on ‘print matching’ level, textures and scoped out objectives for next week
  • Looked for appropriate textures for gun model

For next week,

  • I plan to bring environmental 3D assets in, perform unwrap and texture on those objects,
  • Work with Michael for the pre-rendered cutscene 3d animations for the gun
