Dailies 2-7-11

Today we had advisors meeting, and we all agree that we need some story to tight in our game.

We also looked into CSI video games. Noticed there are lots of good and bad things we can learn from there.

Bullet texture, thanks to Arvin. I re-create the texture this afternoon to fix the pixelated issue.

Dailies 2-4-11

Today team CSI went to visit Calgon Carbon’s lab. Calgon carbon is a company dealing carbon with purification, separation and concentration of liquids, gases and other media. We visited them to get a industry lab environment feel a like. The stuff they did was impressing, though the products or elements they work over there are different direction then what we are looking for. Now I really want to visit University of New Haven as soon as possible to get a feel of what a crime lab look like. Obviously we expect to be different than what we seen in CSI tv shows.

Dailies 2-3-11

Saw Navi appliedĀ  textures I gave him, going to make few adjustments for that for better presentation purposes.

Start to look in to some animatics for ballistics.

Dailies 2-2-11

Worked more on bullet textures. Created different ones for Navi to put in to CSI 1 game.

More detail textures to come on that bullet.

Dailies 2-01-11

Done dummy textures for bullets scratches and passed to Navi. Will get more for comparing in game.

Got a table for team to place our touch screen computer.

Dailies 1-31-11

Had advisor meeting today, noticed that 1/4 is coming. Also found out that we are not going to New Haven this week because of the weather. But Friday to local lab is a sure thing.

Primary task, bullet texture.

Dailies 1-28-11

Today we had a productive team meeting, everyone went over their tasks. I am starting to plan what the ballistic sequences should look like.

Looking forward for the trip to New Heaven University.

Need to look up for texture in Maya.

Dailies 1-27-11

Today is the project launch events that ETC is hosting. There are lots of guests came and stop by at our project room, and we explained to them who we are and what we do at here in this project.

Navi passed couple ballistic images for me to reference and start to create the pre-render movies that we are going to use for out game 1. Since our pipeline are pretty much set now, I’ll shift back to work more on that with Arvind.

Dailies 1-26-2011

Today I worked with Navi for how to work on Unity’s Asset server. Navi created basic folders for us and we tested to sync from other machine.

Arvind also made a list of 3D assets we’d like to build, will get it to that more.

Build a spray bottle for Navi to test asset server as well.

Dailies 1-25-11

Today was and still is a heavy BVW workday for me. For team, I am still testing and playing around Unity Asset Server version control.

Found out that our project TV just delivered, and was working on that machine to hook on internet and make sure that has our banner and poster on desktop.

Tomorrow will be a full CSI workday for me.
