Dailies 2-8-11

Today we checked out CSI:Miami game from our game library. Unfortunately, it was a bit frustrating to play through the first level/chapter. It’s a bit long a confusing I think. And this is definitely what we are not trying to do for our games.

Going to work on textures for Navi tonight.

Today:

  • worked on putting together draft information and slides of 1/4’s presentation for runthrough tomorrow.

Tomorrow:

  • Presentation runthrough with Shirley and Scott
  • Continue work on games for Friday

Dailies 2-7-11

Today we had advisors meeting, and we all agree that we need some story to tight in our game.

We also looked into CSI video games. Noticed there are lots of good and bad things we can learn from there.

Bullet texture, thanks to Arvin. I re-create the texture this afternoon to fix the pixelated issue.

  • Discussed possible outcomes for decisions on the game on ballistics match
  • New interface for matching scene developed

  • Discussed and resolved issues with game designs
  • Created interactive slider for Ballistics game.
  • Made more Prints UI

Tomorrow:

  • Work more on Prints elements
  • Begin to prepare for 1/4s run through
  • Level 2 Design

  • Created two new texture sets for the gun model, one more remains

  • Made and uploaded  some sound effects to put in our game: fume, fume_long, botton_short, light1, light2, light3

  • Visited the Calgon Carbon Lab.

Dailies 2-4-11

  • Visited Calgon Carbon for a tour and reference material for lab work.  Very interesting, and we got some good pictures.
