2024 Student Handbook
Student handbook for the ETC class that started August 26 2024
ETC Director Drew Davidson was invited to Purdue University by their Graduate program in Rhetoric and Composition to give a talk as part of their bi-annual David Hutton Interdisciplinary Lecture Series. Drew was invited to honor the work he has done to advance the field of game studies through ETC Press and Well Played. His lecture focused on game criticism and analysis and discussing the inspiration of Well Played. He also discussed how the ETC teaches game design and development, and visiting with students and faculty to discuss the growing field. Video games are a complex medium that merits careful interpretation and insightful analysis, and it’s nice to see Drew and the ETC getting recognition in this regard.
