Digital District

Our project team, Digital District,  has been approached by the City of Pittsburgh Department of City Planning and Carnegie Mellon University’s  Remaking Cities Institute (RCI) to explore how game technologies can enhance city planning.  We will prototype an immersive VR tool that will allow urban planners to enter a simulated corridor in the city, make changes and experience the changes from the ground level.  As part of a grant from the Heinz Foundation, RCI will use our prototype to help visualize plans for the Baum corridor in Pittsburgh.

Project Team: Richard Aguirre, Heng Luo, Jason Monahan, Vaishnavi Yathirajam, Yonglin Zhang, Ziyu Zheng
